Hike about 3 miles through desert around private land to get near Esperero Canyon. Esperero is too rugged to approach from the base, enter up through a smaller adjacent canyon to the east. A mile up this canyon reach the western ridge of Esperero---the canyon opens up into a beautiful view. Continue on up through Geronimo meadows to Morman Spring. At the Spring trail heads northwest towards Cathedral Rock. Pass the intersection with the Cathedral rock trail and head up towards a saddle point between Window mountain and cathedral rock. Ascent Southwest up Window mountain to the peak and nearby find the Window---what a view!
