Computer vision seminar

Activities include research presentations, paper discusions, software infrastructure development and group project meetings. Research topics include computer vision, machine learning, and graphics.

In the spring of 2008 the vision group will be meeting many Thursdays 12:30 to 1:45 in Gould-Simpson 919 (some cancelation expected due to faculty recruiting). We will also have several software oriented meetings on Fridays at 3:15 to 4:30.

During the summer, vision meetings occured many Tuesdays (2-3) and Fridays (2-3:30) in Gould Simpson 805 (as travel schedules permitted). I took a break from maintaining the activity tables. On Tuesdays we focussed on basic stats, getting through chapters 1 through 7 of "All of Statistics" by Wasserman. On Fridays we had some discussions on software infrastructure, and read papers by Hoiem et. and the image parsing paper from Zhu's group, as well as a few others that I have forgotten.
